The L&GNSW Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG) course is tailored to provide Responsible Gambling Officers (RGOs) and other senior positions within hotels and clubs that operate gaming machines with advanced knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to effectively interact with patrons, especially in high-intensity situations and provide competent leadership skills to guide and support staff.
**From 1 July 2024, all hotels and clubs with more than 20 Gaming Machine Entitlements will be required to have a least one Responsible Gambling Officer (RGO) on duty when gaming machines are in operation. Venues with significantly more gaming machines will be required to staff more RGOs.

What’s included in the course? 1 day of training (over 6 hours) via Zoom, delivered by Zealifi’s experienced licensees and industry managers. Once the booking has been processed you will be automatically enrolled in our mandatory ARCG Enrolment. In the ARCG Enrolment, you must upload a current RCG competency card, and photo ID, complete the online enrolment form | including providing a USI, and agree to our terms and conditions. The ARCG Enrolment must be verified by no later than 4pm on the day prior to ARCG Zoom course commencement. Once your ARCG Enrolment has been verified and completed, the confirmation is emailed which includes the Zoom meeting link and pre-course instructions.

The activities and quizzes are provided in the ARCG workbook. There are videos, discussion group activities, role plays, and written activities throughout the course.
After the course and within 48 hours, you will be emailed the ARCG course completion certificate. The ARCG endorsement will be automatically added to your digital competency card (if you have one). If you would like it to be added to your physical competency card, please visit https://www.onegov.nsw.gov.au/gls_portal/olgr/Transactions/CompetencyCard.mvc/About to manage your competency card online. You will need to pay for the cost of re-issuing the card. Please refer to the Fee Schedule on the NSW Liquor and Gaming website.
Note: All your endorsements must expire on the same date, calculated five years from the first endorsement gained. For example, if your RCG endorsement on your competency card expires in June 2024 and you gain an ARCG endorsement in April 2024 both competencies will still have an expiration date of June 2024. This ensures that your competencies are current and expire on the same date.
Understand you will be enrolled in the mandatory ARCG Enrolment after the transaction.
In the ARCG Enrolment, you must upload your current RCG endorsement from L&GNSW, current photo ID, and USI, and agree to the terms and conditions.
If attending the Zoom class need to have access to the necessary IT equipment: PC, laptop, or tablet, audio, webcam, and strong/reliable internet connection.
Be able to read, speak, and write English fluently.
Additionally, bring a pen and note paper for taking notes during the course.
