Renewing your competency card

Don't delay in renewing your competency card
Don't delay in renewing your competency card.

NSW Liquor and Gaming extended all Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) competency card holders that were due to expire last year an extension for their competency card to 30 June 2021. As part of their COVID-19 stimulus measures.

However, 3o June is fast approaching and we would suggest to complete your renewal with NSW Liquor and Gaming early to avoid any delays in receiving your renewed competency card as many card holders will be renewing at the same time.

Don’t worry you won’t lose out as the RSA and RCG renewals will take effect from 1 July 2021.

How do I renew?

It is a simple process where Liquor and Gaming will contact you to complete their online RSA Refresher or RCG Refresher courses. As long as you keep your contact details up to date you will receive a reminder notification when your renewal is required and coming up. If you don’t receive a notification 90 days prior to your expiry date, make sure you contact NSW Liquor and Gaming at https://www.liquorandgaming.nsw.gov.au/ .

One of the reasons why you haven’t received your reminder notification is they don’t have your correct contact details, if this is the case you can update them at NSW Liquor and Gaming website. You only need to pay for the cost of issuing a new competency card, currently the cost is $41 (this amount does change so please double check the NSW competency card holders fee schedule).

You are not required to complete the full RSA or RCG course with a training provider, like Zealifi to renew your course/s.
