Does a Statement of Attainment expire?

Cutting through the confusion of RSA whilst working in Queensland

Why is there still so much confusion? RSA statements of attainment DO not expire. Statements of attainment are nationally recognised education documents that recognise that someone has completed a unit of competency within a qualification and this recognition does not expire.

When QLD Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) was providing their own approved RSA certificates these required renewal every three years (these documents were not Statements of Attainment). Now anyone who holds an RSA statement of attainment for SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol has met the minimum requirements for serving liquor in QLD.

Please note: The current unit code is SITHFAB002 older codes were SITHFAB201 or SITHFAB009A please be aware statements of attainment with the older codes are still valid.

QLD OLGR has made the ruling if you do have a current RMLV certificate you are not required to also train in RSA if you keep your RMLV certificate current.
