For anyone new to the gaming industry or returning to a job requiring RCG competency card after 5 years, you can attend one of our regular face to face classes at Twin Towns Services Club in Tweed Heads. Zealifi is approved by the Liquor and Gaming NSW to deliver the new NSW RCG course approved on 1 February 2023. Please note if you need to renew your NSW RCG competency card this must be completed via the Liquor and Gaming NSW refresher online program only. Please check out our FAQ’s for further information.
The course covers the Liquor and Gaming NSW specific state information only. If you want to obtain the nationally recognised unit of competency SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services Statement of Attainment, you can purchase our Online RSG course separately for $45 (GST exempt)
Duration is 7 hours face to face, class attendance time is legislated by Liquor and Gaming NSW, class time includes completion of mandatory quizzes, group activities and role plays which requires participation and attendance of the entire day. The program has been designed for entry level and intermediate experienced individuals.
It is HIGHLY recommended to read the NSW RCG workbook prior to the course, however, you will be provided a copy at the start to the class.
After completing the course, Zealifi will lodge your course completion with the L&GNSW interim certificate portal within 48 hours. L&GNSW will then send you a link and login details to complete the mandatory L&GNSW online RCG assessment.
The online assessment consists of 25 questions, mostly multiple-choice questions. You will need to score 100% to pass, and you have unlimited attempts and no time limit. It is your responsibility to complete this online assessment.Â

On passing the online assessment, L&GNSW will email your RCG interim certificate. The interim certificate is valid for 90 days and allows you to work immediately. You must take the interim certificate to Service NSW for the photo competency card to be processed which is posted out to you. The photo competency card is valid for 5 years.Â
Please bring one form of current photo identification, (such as a driver licence, 18+ Card, Proof of Identity card, Australian or International passport). Additionally, bring a pen and note paper for taking notes during the course.

RSG Online Course covers the nationally recognised unit of competency SITHGAM022 – Provide Responsible Gambling Services.
Duration may take up to six hours to complete online depending on experience and previously acquired understanding. This program includes detailed learning content and comprehensive assessment.
You will be given access to your course for a period of 90 days (3 months) from your enrolment date, if you need an extension after this time to complete your course please call us on 1300 122 287 to arrange this.
The online RSG course is divided up into sections, and to ensure knowledge retention for the learner there is an assessment after each section. There are a variety of different question types including multiple choice, drag and drop, sort, short answer, and verbal assessment.
Zealifi will determine the support needs of our learners by asking our learner to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy support indicator, which is available upon request. This is completed prior to training and assessment to assess the learner’s suitability for their desired course and to identify if additional support may be required. Zealifi wants to ensure we can provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The statement of attainment on successful completion of the course is accepted in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This will be emailed to you. If you wish to obtain a paper copy of your statement of attainment there will be an additional charge of $15.00.
